Credit Decision System

Business
ING merged with Postbank in 2008. As part of the merger, several new products, as well as different software systems to support the new products needed to be created. CDS (Credit Decision System) was developed to support the customers who applied for a credit card without having a savings bank account with ING / Postbank.

Technology
The solution incorporates all ING Bank Security guidelines and uses a completely role-based security implementation on an LDAP directory service.

Project
Following our ‘Define, Design, Develop and Deploy’ approach, we began the project with a five day definition study and a four month design and development phase which included two major deliveries followed by UAT.

Support
SecondFloor handed over the developed system to Atos Origin for maintenance after implementation in ING’s environment.

The solution was developed in successful cooperation with Atos Origin, who took over after UAT.

Solution
CDS provides a decision: Is an applicant granted a credit card or not? The system provides the the functionality for business users to define all necessary rules. The system interacts with other online systems like BKR and RRB in real time. SecondFloor delivered a system capable of 24/7 availability, flexible rule creation and execution.
